The story of Georgie... Georgie is my sister, Sanet & her boyfriend, Koen's dog. Johann loved Georgie while we were there and could not get enough of him. Lucky Georgie was very placid and did not mind Johann climbing on him and well, frankly doing what he wanted to. The moment we got home, this toy of Johann's that he has hardly ever given the time of day, became his Georgie. Georgie goes everywhere with him now. To bed, outside, to the car if we drive somewhere, just everywhere. Welcome Georgie!

Back home ...
We are back home safely. There is just nothing like coming back home after a holiday! Your favourite chair, the familiar smell on your blankets, you know where everything is ... Was nice getting away though.

We spent the day at the dam . . .
We got to ride on Koen's boat. The guys and girls took turns and had a few spins around the dam. It was very cool. Johann wanted to stay in the boat the whole day and it took some convincing to get him out of it. It was a lovely day and fun was had by all.

Fishing in Kokstad . . .
We are in Kokstad visiting my sister and her other half, Koen. We went fishing at a nearby dam. It was overcast which helped a lot. Johann tried his hand at fishing and it was too sweet. Also touched a fish for the first time. Sanet caught the only fish, which was too small to take home so we threw it back. Was a very nice couple of hours. Looking forward to coming back with the boat on Boxing Day!

Nooooo Johann!!!
And just after I thought the day could not get any worse with the heat and humidity, what does my son do…. Well, the pic speaks for itself!!!! Boys!
Johann went swimming . . .

Johann went swimming at the pool on the Mtunzini Forest Lodge premises. He loves the water and as usual there was drama when we eventually left the pool. He is becoming more confident in the water and recovered nicely after his whole head went under a few times. He would not even get out for some juice, had to be brought to him. But then again, he is the MASTER here and we are here to serve him, lol.We are on holiday . . .
We are on holiday at the Mtunzini Forest Lodge on the North Coast. It is a lovely place BUT OH so hot and humid. It really lives up to its name and it does feel like you are in a forest. There are plenty of birds, wildlife and monkeys around (and don't forget the mozzies). Here is a monkey I caught just outside our door yesterday.

Johann is on school holidays . . .
At 12:00 today, Johann's school closed!!!! The holidays have officially started. Now to think what to do to keep him busy!!!
My Blackberry Bold . . .
My Blackberry Bold is my favorite gadget. It is like having an office anywhere. I can phone, sms, mms, email, Blackberry chat, browse the internet, take photos, and and and….. Most importantly, my loved ones and friends live in there and with a few strokes of the keys on my qwerty keyboard, I am in contact. Priceless!!!!!

Saying for today . . .

Assignments due!!!
Okay, so the exams are done and passed, hooray! Now just the assignments! “JUST” I thought! 31 Assignments due in total. Yes, THIRTY ONE!!! No wonder the study material is stacked so high.
“O TIME, TIME, wherefore art thou TIME?” (Shakespeare would be proud)
“Nothing can come of nothing” (Again Shakespeare) so best I get cracking (Not Shakespeare).

Smiley face . . .
Bad weather (rain, lightning, thunder, wind) scares Johann so that he really gets worked up and can’t even sleep in his own bed. He comes through, with Olly his elephant, his “doekie” and his pillow and takes over the whole bed for himself! At least he wakes up with smiles.
